In Florida.

So far we have:

> Lines ranging from 2 to 4 hours long

> One lady passed out due to heat

> A handful of verbal altercations (one at my voting site), but no fist fights (yet)

> At least one voting machine broke down, was replaced, replacement machine broke down and was then fixed

> 40% of people voted early or via absentee ballots

> 700 absentee ballots rejected (apparently the people failed to sign their ballots).

Mostly a calm day of voting for Florida... so far.

I never registered to vote while I was still living in American.

If I was there now, I would and I'd vote 'Communism.'

In Oregon, we have vote by mail. That way we get a better turn out. You can still go vote at the polling stations today if you choose not to mail your ballot in.

I have a saying, "If you don't vote, don't complain about how things are."

I've never had to wait in line for more than like 10 minutes to vote. How do y'all run elections down there?

We try to do it different every time.

As an example, in my county, in the past we had computerized voting machines... push the button for the person you like... push the "next" button for the next topic to vote on... push the "finished" button.

Presently you pick up a fill in the bubble ballot, go to a booth with very limited lighting, then take the fill in the bubble ballot to a scanner and feed it in page by page.

Of course there were dozens of booths, but only 2 working scanners.

Just in case you thought you knew what you were doing, they allowed people to bring their children and let them run around wildly making noise so as to add a layer of excitement or distraction.

sounds like Florida just doesn't want Florida to vote. Probably a good thing

Or we're pissed off that Ohio gets all the attention and we want another scandal so everyone will pay attention to us... as if we haven't had enough scandalous nonsense.

I went to vote at the Grant school down the street that is where my voting place is at. when i got there the young lady looked at the list and i was not there. She then tried telling me that i had to go to another voting place that i know i wasnt suppose to go to. Then a old lady there said for me to look on a map they had to find where i was suppose to vote at. I didnt know how to read the map because it was in different colors. So i pointed to the map and the old lady thought that was where i live at, so she looked at another list and side i was suppose to vote on the other side of the city. LOL it made me kind of made because i just live 5 houses away from the school. But any way i voted, when i got home i looked online on 2 different sites and they both said that Grant School was the place i was suppose to go vote at. So i wont have to go thought this again im going to get a at home ballot for the next election.

I have, but only in Rio Rathole. I blame it on the rapid growth.

(It was better this year, walk in and out, though I did vote early)
