I never know what to write in a birthday card..

Any ideas?? cards i gove are always so ordinary

I never do either, I just write "happy birthday, have a great day, love Laura"

Write something silly that you guys get, some sort of inside joke or something

Actually that's a good idea. A few friends got me a huge birthday card a couple of years back and they all wrote little messages in it that had lots of inside jokes and things in it, it's one of the best cards I've ever had.

Try writing a past experience you could never forget about the celebrant.

if its for somebody important to you just write something personal.
i always feel bad because cards are so impersonal so i write something that means something to me,kinda muddled in with alot of jokes and i draw cartoons and stuff in them.

if you don't know them well enough to feel comfortable doing that then you're pretty much stuck with 'have a great day'

I like to find cards where the verses have a personal feel to them. I have been brought up to read them and then the message from friends or relatives.

Choosing a card that says what you want them to do can show that you've taken your time to pick a card that's right for them.

Then add a simple hand written message yourself.

i always write:
you are more older now you have to be careful dont smoke dont step on stairs. did you buy a tomb?

sometimes I'll put in a B-Day card: Hope yours was a very special day because you are speacial on this day...

sign/love (your signature)

I just write some babble that I find funny....

...they usually don't

I try and write something personal - meaning personal between me and that person.

Then just sign it.
