Anyone know any good websites (within the UK) which sell them?

And have you got any recommendations on what i should buy?

I'm not too bothered on the look as long as it's a colour i like (Dark blue, black, silver, dark red or white) but i want one what's comfortable to play slap bass with.

if you got ?1200 get a musicman stingray, there the best for slapping

Well to be honest i've got no money so it'll be my parents buying me it for a Xmas present.
I'm guessing their price range will be ?300 and under.

I hear the Fender Precision Bass is a good Guitar, but i also hear they're expensive too. How much do you think i could get one second-hand?

And Pete, what's your estimate on the price of a second-hand Stingray?

Ebay! Seriously it's great for guitars of all types. I usually check on gak.co.uk for one i like, then wait for it to come up on ebay for about half the price.

or there is the musicman sub, which is the same as a stingray, but cheaper woods are used, but you get the same pickups and electronics as the stingray, but im not sure if they are as good for slapping, subs sell for new for around about ?500 - ?700 i think

I recommend gak.co.uk to, ive never had any probblems withe them, and its fast delivary

I get my info from there, then buy it off ebay.

Just a tip for anyone who wants to buy any type of guitar. If you type "broken guitar" into ebay, you get guitars which are fine, except for a small whole in them, for about ?20

I've made my mind up and i'm deciding whether to get a Fender Highway 1 Precision Bass or a standard series Fender Precision.

I would choose a Highway 1 Jazz Bass but my teacher has that one and i don't really want to be a copy cat.

EDIT:

But the Jazz version looks so nice.

Can someone give me their opinion on which is better? (Precision or Jazz)
