I hate it when my work or anything that I do is called "sweet".

When I write, it's personal, so when someone calls it sweet to me it's a pat on the head and it makes me want to smack them. I'm a pretty nice person, but sweet has, or never will be an adjective used in my description. It rubs me the wrong way, and I had to get that out of my system. Kind, I can be very kind, that one I like. If I weren't kind, the last person who called me sweet would be walking funny. Now I feel better. 8)
For my generation, it mean sickening, like candy, I know it means something different now, but the person that used it means it like I would mean it.

the word sweet has taken on a new meaning in the last few years. It used to mean cute, and now it means cool or awesome. Like a "sweet deal" is a really good deal. It used to be something a person could take as almost condescending, a compliment you'd give a child, but no longer.

I know the new meaning. I was in a mood, and the person didn't mean awesome, they meant the old meaning,"Oh honey that's so sweet." Face to face, you know the difference.
Thanks Lili, my ride is kind of sweet. I get it, I'm over it.

What people will say when the accurate words can't be brought to mind is unreal... When I read what you write the words that come to mind in Deep, Interesting, Informative, Beautiful...etc!

Now it's funny that you mentioned that. Cuz I just used the word sweeeeeeeet in a post and I never never use that word... but what the person said was "sweet", and i mean sweet.

So get over it you old fart. (i'm sorta sweet on you...)

Yes an analogy is like describing a cramped loving room as 'cosy'. Next time one of those patronising creatures uses sweet with thee, I'm sure you will bare your tigers teeth and wipe their self-grating smiles off their socialy pc facial expressions.

No child, sarcasm is lowest form of wit, something I would only deign to use on someone whom I might consider they deserved it. There is no sarcasm that I see in my post. In your dis-temper, you are looking for things which be not there.
