I can't taste or smell anything!

I have a really really bad cold

My nose is all bunged up, and thanks to everything being connected, this means I can't smell or TASTE anything! this is very annoying seeing as I have lots of kitkat bars I could be eating! Anyone have any home remedies for when they have bad colds? Or anything they do to alleviate the symptoms

Any constructive advice appreciated!

Oh sorry that you are not feeling well for bad colds you should be eating chicken soup and staying warm so the cold can break free and you should take some cough meds that will help somewhat and make sure you are geting alot of rest when we get sick we need to have our rest get well soon oh and drink alot of water so you don't get dyhydrated.

Typical, I don't have any of those ingredients!

I had some soup earlier and my nose is a little better (occasional sniffing brings back taste buds for about 3 seconds lol)

Onions clear my nose and sinuses almost immediately. Eat a raw onion sandwich. Chicken soup, tea. Wash your hands lots each day. Helps avoid colds.

I can smell and taste again!!!!!!!

I'm not sure if it was the soup or just the natural course of time

Thanks for all your suggestions though! I'll keep them in mind for next time I have a cold
