I Want A Tattoo But I Don't Do Pain Very Well

I really want one, maybe on my arm or on my shoulder otherwise I wouldn't be able to show it off, but I'm a little scared of the pain. I was just wondering if anyone else found it particularly painfull . . .

Just out of interest, why is everyone obsessed with tattoo's?

When my mum got hers done she said it didnt hurt as much as she thought it would, she said it hurt her more afterwards

I have two that took over two hours.

After the first ten minutes it doesn't hurt.

If you really want it then it will be worth it.

But I suggest you put it somewhere that can be covered. Just in case you want to do something other than be a bartender or tattoo artist when you get older.

the outline will hurt for a little while then the area becomes numb,if you dont like pain dont have one on your ankle or the base of your spine ive got 11 and those areas brought tears to my eyes,the shoulder blade is o.k and so is the b*** cos of the amount of flesh,any fleshy places are like i discribed in the beginning,the parts that are close to the bone really hurt,go on have one done its a lovely way to express art especially if youve designed it your self,my last one was a 6 or 7 inch angel on my back.

I wouldn't consider it pain at all. More like an annoyance for the first 5 or so minutes.

It seems that the people who say it hurts like hell, for the most part..... DON'T HAVE ANY TATTOOS!!

If you get it done on a meaty part of you body like your a** (not saying you have a big arse or anything) it will hurt less than if you get it done on a boney part of your body like your ankle (if you have fat ankles you will be sweet).

Wow 15 hours would drive me crazy!

That is one of my biggest problems, I want larger tattoos, but if I can't do it in one sitting then I don't want it at all. It is such an annoyance to have to go back.
