The table top is one piece of glass. How much weight can a glass-top end table hold?

It looks pretty much like this one, but without the designs etched into the glass:

Im sure it can hold up to the weight of one standard red brick before the weight becomes an issue

Some lamps can get pretty heavy. Vases too. Any kind of poundage reference or anything?

It depends on the density and the thickness of the glass too.

I searched online and most are coming up with weight capacity as 50lbs, some few 100lb. But I'd say around 50lbs or less to be safe.

If the glass is properly installed it's not stress on the glass it's the table that provides the strength. Therefroe, the weight of the table.

And if the weight is focused on a small or large portion of the table.

All Glass top tables here in Oz have to be made with Safety Glass, not just your ordinary window glass. It should say on the Carton or underneath the table what it is and the weight it will carry.

I think it would hold more than just the weigh of the table.

It's about 20 years old, given to us from some friends, so I doubt it's safety glass.
