i agree to the public place idea. i meet a girl on a "place for friends" site. she asked if i wanted to meet her ar her house. it was a little weird to me. so instead we meet at a public place.

Thats how I am. Im REALLY shy and like super quiet when Im first meeting someone, after a couple of hours or so Im more "myself"

I am quiet till I get comfortable with someone, then I am manic. Usually it takes a very long time for me to be comfortable with people, but occasionally I met someone I click with instantly and then I am myself off the bat.

And if they were ever visiting etc.

I actually met alot of people off of another forum that I used to be crazy addicted to. I know what you mean that some are not who you would think. But I never had any issues with crazies or anything either.

With me the folks that I met that I had talked to for years online were every one wicked cool. The ones I met spur of the moment that I didn't know well were dissapointing.

I hope someday to go to the UK to meet my UK friends but I would have to go for monthes to meet them all now as I have so many lol

Last summer when I flew to Philly to meet a friend (under sad circumstances at first), I was really quiet for like an hour and then suddenly I started getting comfortable around her and her friends and I fit in perfectly really quickly. They were a bit weirded out by the comfortability at first but by the end of the week I had them saying they didnt want me coming back to Texas
