How important is God's name?

Jesus said, n prayer to his Father, as reported at John 17:25,26 "Righteous Father, the world has, indeed, not come to know you; but I have come to know you, and these have come to know that you sent me forth. 26 And I have made your name known to them and will make it known, in order that the love with which you loved me may be in them and I in union with them.”

To Jesus, his Father's name was of vital importance, do you know it? do you use it? do you make it known? If you are truly a Christian, you must, because as scripture tells us:-

Romans 10:13 "For “everyone who calls on the name of Jehovah will be saved""

Also

Acts 2:21 "And everyone who calls on the name of Jehovah will be saved.”’"

Of course both Paul, in Romans, and Peter in Acts were quoting from Joel 2: 32 "And it must occur that everyone who calls on the name of Jehovah will get away safe; for in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will prove to be the escaped ones, just as Jehovah has said, and in among the survivors, whom Jehovah is calling.”"

That is why Jesus felt it so important that everyone knew His father's name, which we today know by it's latinised translation of Jehovah.

So get to know it, and as Jesus did, and use it, especially in prayer. Carry on Jesus work of spreading it throughout the world, as God's modern day people, the Jehovah's Witnesses do. Don't be like the Apostate faiths who remove God's name from the bible. After all his efforts to make his Father's name known Jesus won't appreciate that.

what if i learned in a different culture about a peace loving creator, named by my cultures tounge?

Then that would not be the right God.

who can say it isn't the same name spoken in a different tounge?

There is no 'right' God. All cultures have different interpretations of who God is and what he does but I'm sure it's the same f***ing person. Example, here in America we have airplanes, in deep south America some villagers call them giant birds. See what I did there?

I imagine his name isn't important. The bible you read happens to be in English, if god translates to a different language as something else, than it does. Just as the Jewish god is Yahweh, or the Muslim god Allah, the Nordic god Odin, or the Greek god Zeus. Just because the "all powerful one" carries a different name, does not make it just as important as what he does. He is still the "all powerful one."

Cause his logic and all religious logic fails.

Well first you need to find which is the most reliable religious book. That has proven to be the bible as it is the only one that is so accurate both historically and prophetically, a claim which no other can match.

Then you need to get to know the personality of the God it describes from Genesis to Revelation.

By the time you have done that you will be convinced there can be no other worthy of worship.

I know something that is worthy of worship by even me, video games.
