Well it depends if I'm talking in English or Spanish. I usually use English for the animal, but Spanish if illegal Immigration is involved.

English:
Kai-Oh-tea
Spanish:
Coo-yo-tee

I've heard Ky-oat, but only from people from Colorado. Technically, I think both are right.

Its all in what sylable you make sound longer and have more emphasis. Spanish has different rules though, and I might typing the pronunciation wrong, I always sucked at that part of English/Grammar assignments in class.
