How do you eat red meat without harmful effect on your body?

Sicientific data seem to indicate that red meat causes cancer and cardiovascular disease.

But it's the fat (saturated fat) causing the damage to the body, isn't it?
So, by steaming or other cooking method to reduce fat, I don't have to worry about eating too much red meat?
