A week ago I accepted a job as a Bell Hop at the Ramada Hotel....
A week later I got offered another job at another hotel which I much rather prefer, I have accepted this job as well...

How do I tell the employer without sounding like a stupid b**** that I no longer want the job......maybe I could make up some great excuse!

My home planet needs me.
My mother is in fact a hampster, she needs me alot right now.
The small children in the Attic are giving me hives.
I can't stand your Asian Bellboys
That Spanish Cleaning lady is stealing my lunches
Cobber just ate three curry dishes. Third floor.
I don't like your FACE ethics, Mr. Executive Director man!

Thats all I can think up right now?

Just tell the truth. If they don't except it, too bad for them.

Yeah *Gets Serious*
You may just have to be harsh. Make it fun though, really grind them into the
dirt. Thats what they get for not paying you enough to stay

My dog ate my hop.
My cat ate the Bell.

Although you could always just say I quit.

I would simply call them and "I'm sorry but another oppurtunity has arisen that would be much more convenient for me and I will be unable to work for this company"

It would be completely understandable.

Yeah, employers get it all the time. In my managerial roles I heard it quite a few times. Sometimes you're a person's first job choice, sometimes you're a standby. It's how it goes. Managers do exactly the same with candidates. I'd have 3 choices - my preferred candidate, and 2 standbys.

The bet with least chance of ever backfiring is honesty without embellishment.

Just say it how it is, because stumblin Is right.
