How can I tell my best friend that I?m gay?

i personaly am not gay but i suspect my best freind is i have 3 other freinds who wre openly gay why dose he not just accept it

I'm sorry to those of you with this response but It's not that easy to tell someone just say it and if they arent okay with it they arent your freind anyway. When you want to tell your best friend, BEST friend you are gay well you cant just let it out. Think about it you've spent your whole life being friends with this person (at least it wa sin my case) and we'd known each other since as long as we can remember we went through some heavy stuff together and built strong memories. I had to consider that again and again and wonder if I was okay to surrender those moments if he couldnt deal with my sexuality. After much consideration about our memories, his personality and my personality I finally decided I could do it and did and he didnt have a problem and we are still friends today. However I cant say it'll be the same for everyone. And please dont mistake my intentions I dont mean to flame those of you who have given your advice I only mean to say that it isnt always lolipops and gumdrops and keep that in mind when your considering telling your best freind. You always wanna be asclose to sure as possible that he is your BEST friend.

the longer you leave it the harder it will get, ive recently had a friend come out and now he is alot happier because people know him for who he really is, and still respect him
he may be shocked, and dont become embarrased if he asks question just be truthful and all should fun smoothly.

well if he is really a true friend he will accept it, i remember when i told my best mate she was the first person to know and she accepted it she wasn surprised tho, no one is ever surprised that im a lesbian lol

friendship isnt based on whether you are gay or straight. it is there because you like each other. true friends love you whatever.

Maybe you could have a sleepover at either house and then when your talking about stuff when trying to fall asleep you could say it then or ask him...

lots of times i say my secrets to friends at sleep overs 8)

So just like everyone else said, I think that if he is REALLY your best friend, then he will accept you for who you are and if he doesnt I don't know if he is worth having as a friend.

Straight guys arn't attracted to EVERY girl, so gay guys arn't attracted to EVERY guy. That should make him feel a little more confortable about how your friendship stands.
