I am just curious how other people will be celebrating their Thanksgiving.

Typically mom does most of the cooking and I help where she will let me, my sister makes a bunch of desserts and then my brother, his wife, daughter and her kids come over, my nieces and nephews come, my sister and her hubby comes and the house is bursting at the seams with people. After we eat and my sister and I clean up the dishes, we have a lot of laughter and fun teasing each other. I just love Thanksgiving because of all the laughter and family being together.

Sure, as long as you don't mind sitting on the floor. We will be running out of room but the more the merrier.

Don't.

It's just not a Swedish tradition in any way

Well, I normally go to one of my grandparents houses. One of my grandmothers is vegan so her stuff tastes rather strange. The Other just makes a lot of chicken by ordering it from churches. Then she makes other stuff to go with it on the stove . Turkey and what not. Thats how I celebrate thanksgiving.

I have no idea why, but it's a tradition for us to eat at the Holiday Inn. Idk who started it either.

Hopefully me & my mom will still cook at home.

Last year Thanksgiving was at my house. We deep fried a couple of turkey's as well as baked one. We also had some Venison. The family as well as friends, came over, we laugh, drink, eat and have a good time.

I am hoping this year it is at someone elses house. There is no way I can fit all those people in my new place.

We always do the big traditional Thanksgiving thing... The food is great, and the company is fantastic

It's the 4th thursday of November. It's to celebrate the pilgrims coming to america.
Basically now it's just a day for families to get together and pig out. Turkey is traditionally served, but you can have anything.
And the men watch football and some of the women too.

Thursday everyone goes to their spouses houses, except for me cause I don't have one. My kids go to their dads so I set up my christmas tree and wait for the kids to get home and we decorate the tree, have hot cocoa, sing silly christmas songs and play board games. I'm all cheesy a** holiday lover (and I usually have a few drinks).
On Sunday we go to my moms house for big family thanksgiving. We start eating appitizers while the turkey, ham. venison roast finish cooking. Then my mom makes us all sit around one giant table (I have 2 brothers, 1 sister, 2 stepbrothers, everyone is married with at least two kids, and a few random aunts and uncles) - has my very religious grandma pray for about 30 minutes - then it's time for the food Afterward we woman folk clean up the mess while the lame a** guys watch football. The kids play for a while then it's pie then we finally get to go home.
