The tech between 20 years ago and today is not that much of a leap it's mostly improvement in the capacity and cost of technology that was available 20 years ago.

He didn't say New Orleans was a joke he said that there is no panic yet even though we already have extremem weather, don't you read well?

I don't fear death actually, i think i know whats in my head better than you or the space reptiles do.

new orleans was just a joke to you?

New Orleans is a city, not weather.

And the fact that Katrina hit it directly is unfortunate. There have been other hurricanes just as large and strong. The unfortunate thing with Katrina was the fact that it hit in *just the right spot* at *just the right angle* to cause maximum destruction.

Having grown up in New Orleans, I know what the near misses are like. 15 miles in either direction and the hurricane is No Big Deal. We're always afraid of "the one" that falls ashore at the exact right spot. Katrina did.

Katrina was only a Category 4 when it made landfall. There was nothing unusual about it except where it hit.

I think it will be pretty much the same. Except people will be dumber.
