For all of us that have been giving support while we change our lifestyles to the healthy side of life. Share your accomplishments and ask for support.

Remember stay away from those scales until Friday.
And also that every day is a new day with no mistakes.

So let's keep our weight loss rolling and our healthy living moving forward.

Am I allowed on here? I am trying to gain 7 lbs and am having a heck of a time with it.
I am underweight according to the doctor and BMI thinger. He said I should get my weight up so I dont get so sick all the time.
If this is offensive to anyone I actually do understand.

Has anyone tried the deit for dummies? The one that says you can lose 9lbs every 11 days, I have always wondered what it was exactly but i don't want to pay for it.

I'm jumping on to proudly announce I just did my pilates workout and I'm feeling the burn!! Slowly getting back on track with the food thing, too. The true test is when I go for groceries today. Fresh fruits and veggies ho!!

nothing- I've never tried it- but 9 pounds in 11 days sounds amazing!!!! BUT - when it comes off to fast - it's easier to put back on . Maybe someone else will have some insight on that diet.
lupo- WOOOOHOOOO Good for you girl!!! I knew you could do it- stick with it for YOU!!!!

dolly~ I wish you the best of luck in your quest to gain weight.

Personally I think that the BMI chart/scale is bunk. It doesn't take into account for muscle mass and whatnot. I have a friend that is a body builder that is considered obese by the BMI, but in reality he has almost no fat. Also a person with a low BMI can be unhealthy due to high amounts of visceral fat (fat around the organs) which isn't visible to your average joe.

I am too thin. Even I can see that. My ribs kind of stick out and it's gross. But I cannot gain weight for the life of me. I can eat an entire cake (and have done it) and nothing! Not a freakign ounce.
Is there any diet you all know of that could help me?

Dolly: Have you been to a physician about this? They could probably recommend a better regiment. If not, find a local GNC, they have protein powders meant for putting on muscle, an those might help you put on weight.

And, if all else fails, you're more than welcome to some of mine! Maybe we can do a transplant of some kind.

dolly~ lupo is right about the protein powders/suppliments from GNC. Also make sure you are eating enough calories of the right things(high fat isn't necessarily good). If I were you, I'd talk to a nutritionist and tell him/her what your goal is and have them work out a good diet/plan for you. I'd suggest a diet rich in proteins, but also high calorie as you may have a super fast metabolisim(which I hate you for btw. <sarcasm>

The nutrionist/dietician lady gave me a great diet.
It made me lose 5 lbs.

I just get frustrated with others attitudes towards me. I am not anorexic. I LOVE food. Do NOT shove more food at me because you think i look "too thin". It is hard to stay mannerly when someone is shoving more meatloaf at you and telling you you look like death. Its probably the biggest reason I dont eat at others houses.

So far I eat just enough to maintain weight. Healthy too. Lots of pasta and rice, yogurt, granola bars etc.
I should try out some of those powder thingers. I will look into it. I just dont want it to be one of those things where as soon as i stop taking them i lose all the weight.
