My mom brought home a large plant the other day and my kitten thinks it's her new litter box

I sprayed her with water and reprimanded her the one time I did catch her in the act, but it didn't do much good. I'm tired of cleaning the plant every morning so is there anything I can do to keep her out of it? For now I've just moved it outside, but I know my mom loves it and wants it inside so I'm hoping to find some solution for this problem.

And because I know I'm likely to be asked- yes, she already has a litterbox, in fact she has two available to her and both are cleaned regularly.

I'd just go for a water pistol or lawn sprayer thingy that you put in the ground (can't remember the name).

It didn't work And she usually goes to crap in the plant whenever I'm asleep, because I wake up and it's there.

Also this is an indoor plant, in a pot, a sprinkler is not an option if that's what you're trying to say

You can add orange or grapefruit peels onto the soil of the plants and this should help to repel cats.

You're welcome.

Another idea is adding ground black pepper or cayenne pepper onto the dirt.

Who didn't? (Edit- never mind, the video just showed up! )

And I doubt that would work for this cat She'd get distracted and pull it off to play with it, maybe.

I hope it works for you.

If not, at least you have the starters for a good meat seasoning/rub.

A Rat Terrier will keep all varmints out of your yard.
