Halloween Party!! - Ideas needed!!

Im having a Halloween fancy dress party for my 5 year old son, there will be at least 25-30 kiddies, ranging from 3-10 yrs.

I'm looking for some good party games, and food recipes.
Or any generally any good ideas you may have to help me for Halloween!

Do the haunted house thing where you play creepy music and make it dark and have them squeeze "eye balls" and "brains" and stuff.

Jelly with marshmallows inside. I always think the whole circus thig is spooky so you can expand your topic. Or scooby doo is a good theme with scooby snacks and club sandwiches. Good way to sneak in salad without them knowing. Otherwise get them all a pumpkin that takes at least 30-45 mins to hollow out with a spoon.

get spagettii noodles and over cook them then use green food coloring and divide it in to two bowls and add an equal amount of small plastic spiders and have a race between two kids to see who can get out all the spiders in the least amount of time

pumpkin carving contest (do teams with a large group of kids)

pin the nose on the pumpkin

no problem all of our family friends have kids with birthdays in october so we used to have a yearly halloween party to celebrate everyones birthday at once but now everyone is to old (about 12 and up) so they dont think it is fun anymore

OK you asked for it!
Cream crackers coated with chocolate and then melted marshmallow on top.
Nachos.....with sour cream an salsa
mini Pizzas
Mini burgers,
and of course hot dogs,
potato skins filled with cheesy mash
little cakes with spiders on the top, (buy some plain cakes, ice em green an use licquorice for the spiders)
Parkin (traditional Lancashire recipe....will give if you want it its like a gingery type cake)
Games laser tag....will wear the older ones out
Apple bobbin, but make sure non of the little buggers I mean darlings drown........
For the adults pumkin soup

Thats so sad, still in a few years they will want to watch blair witch and stuff. That can be fun too

They are pretty young so they need lots of little activities not long complicated ones. How about coloring their own jack o lanters, do foods with spagetti (brains), jello with grapes (eyeballs), and cupcakes with plastic spiders on them. Carmel apples are hard but you can get dip and cut up apple slices.

when you are bobbing for apples drop a few pieces of dry ice in the water so it will make it smoke

ohhhhh i got it have someone dress up and pretend to be a figuren than when a kid touches him have the person jump its sooooo funny

my dad did that one year and it made some parents really mad. he dressed up as a scarecrow and sat on the porch on all this hay and stuck the candy near his leg. When people reached for it he would move......SO CREEPY
