One of my current favorite punk bands is the Newbomb Turks.

I highly recommend 'em if you like Dropkick Murphys, they are similar but better in my opinion.

are they comparable on a political level ?

Have you heard Ed Sheeran? He may be up your street. There's Enter Shikari as well but I'm guessing you already know them as they've been around for ages.

They're not too bad.

Blood Orange is a personal favourite of mine but it's more laidback stuff, so maybe one for chilling to.

Not really...just sound wise. I do like the Murphys...seen em a few times (I think 3 times in concert). I just like the sound of the Newbomb Turks a little better.

Oh, try Johnny Foreigner as well. They're great.

Screamin' Eric is pretty cool too.

okay cool. i'll check them out if i can. it's just that alot of murphy's tracks, and punk tracks really, are about social injustice and all that.
