OK, who reads around issues before formulating their opinions? Be honest, do you read one news article/watch one documentary, and then form your opinion from it? Or do you actively seek out information and question the things you are told? Do you try to see the issue from all angles?

I try to as much as I can. But If I don't know much about one thing I try not to set my opinion in stone about it. Usually if I've only "heard" one thing about a certain topic I don't say much at all.

OK i tend to try several news sources before i form an opinion now. They are all so different. I have difficulty when dealing with US news because im not sure what is reputable. However in the UK i usually consult several sources particularly the Independent which i find mostly unbiased.

I like to get a few different sources about whatever I'm hearing. And I like to hear both sides of the story before I form an opinion.

I'd say the same. I probably don't pay enough mind to a lot of issues.

One thing worth noting is that if you are a discerning reader, you can read in between the lines and extrapolate "the real story" quite often even if you only have one very biased source. What sources don't say is often more important than what they do say.

It really depends on the issue. If its something I take to heart as an American, woman, etc. Then I do look for more info but if its a sideline story then I normally judge for myself.

I question everything I'm told, at once.
Then I question myself.
usually I disagree with what I have to say about it and so argue with myself until I pass out. This repeats more or less constantly.

No matter the amount of information I gather on a subject I question my own conclusion, and seek its faults and then question them as well. The information is always biased, and it is always lacking. I "inform" myself until I think I have a relatively clear picture of what is going on, based on my own faulty conclusions and failing memory, and end up with a probability that seems likely to me but one which cannot usefully be viewed as fact/truth and thus must always be revised.

Ask and observe, question and revise, until your eyes bleed and your brain is on fire. Then continue forever with this.

Honestly, a lot of times I am quick to form an opinion or first impressions about things. And I will usually stick with my opinions and impressions. That's my stubborn, hard headed side. If I am presented with information that proves me wrong, than I may change my mind. But most likely I will not seek out extra information.
