Its hard to make this stuff up. What exactly are these people in D.C. doing to steer the country back to a more stable economic footing? https://abcnews.go.com/GMA/treasury-secretary-timothy-geithner-unemployment/story?id=11308157

We're constantly told by the major news media and the Washington bureaucrats that all is going to be well, that the housing industry is improving, that big business is doing better and that Washington efforts to get lending institutions to lend is going well.

Then another news story like this. Yet defenders of this political cadre are convinced enough to go to the wall for them.

While the federal government continues to be almost the largest current hiring agency in the country, state and local governments are cutting services at an alarming rate, along with jobs. One town let almost 80% of its police force go. East St. Louis just laid off 1/3 of its PD and Philadelphia is incorporating rolling closures of fire stations to save money. https://cbs3.com/local/philadelphia.firehouse.closures.2.1837765.html

If we don't make some hard decisions in November and change the federal government's direction, we then should not complain.

We are? About the only news outlet I don't watch is FOX, and I've never heard anyone say that it's all going well, and that everything is improving.

I've heard that it's stopped getting worse, and that in 3 to 5 years we should start seeing steady improvement though.

So, should I be watching FOX for the good news that you're talking about, or are you just making stuff up?

Yeah, Boxer, you know me. I like to make things up. Everything's actually grand and all of us out here with someone hurting are just imagining that its not quite as good as it might be. Obama is doing a wonderful job, all those congressional bills and new acts look to put real money in our pockets, businesses are hiring at a tremendous pace, the car companies are coming back big time, we've got the bad guy terrorist fully under control, our international allies are just lining up to work with us. Its grand! What was I thinking? I'll schedule a session with my head guy today. I must be off my medicine.

You must be off your medicine if you've heard anyone saying any of that. Because I sure as hell haven't, and I watch the leftist news..

I also read the centrist news, and they're not saying it either.

At first I thought you meant "latest" news, but I can see you actually meant leftist.

But, you're kidding me, right?? Here's some more reading - left/center/right. Goes back to 2009 up to current time. Our competent leadership at the WH, Senate, Congress. All's well. Let me see if I can get that medicine.

I think that you might not be understanding me.

IT'S NOT BETTER.
BUT THE BAD s*** THAT WAS HAPPENING IS STARTING TO LEVEL OUT.

I'm hoping that shouting at you might get through. That's what the Tea Party likes to do.

Awww, don't be angry. You said you aware of such media. Now you can be. Your penchant for having to be intellectually right (correct) is getting boring. Many of us see nothing leveling out yet. Not a member of the Tea Party, but they're not looking bad. We'll give you the last word. Off to make some money in this grand economy.

You enjoy referring to yourself in the third person?
I thought that was reserved for royalty.
