Gay parents "tend to be more motivated, more committed than heterosexual parents on average, because they chose to be parents," said Abbie Goldberg, a psychologist at Clark University in Massachusetts who researches gay and lesbian parenting. Gays and lesbians rarely become parents by accident, compared with an almost 50 percent accidental pregnancy rate among heterosexuals, Goldberg said. "That translates to greater commitment on average and more involvement."

Biggest load of s*** ive ever heard. either the psych is gay, or someone is paying to put that out there.

equates to whites being more advanced than blacks. hopefully, stuff like this will see an end to this "cart before the horse" situation.

ever wondered why we are built the way we are in the first place?

and because they "chose to be parents"? wow...

more propaganda from gay central.

I'd called that a pretty skewed conclusion. There are too many factors to parenthood and different hurdles that each type of couple have to go through to simply limit it down to choice. I don't know, it would be interesting to actually see the data used.

I agree with Firebrand. More propaganda.
My child was not an accident. He was planned and to say heterosexual parents are that iggnorant is just wrong.

Try refuting point by point and stop with the knee-jerk reaction.

Anecdotal! 50% unplanned in the heterosexual parenting group v practically nil unplanned with homosexual group. Glad you are a good parent though!

I could see why that would be nil for homosexuals couples considering they cannot "accidentally" have any children because they have to use artifical in semination or surrogates. So the survey is pointless.

But they can be parents so it is nil, so's your point!

I disagree with this, mainly because it is WHO the person is rather than their sexuality. If a person is a c*** to everyone, chances are he/she is going to be a c*** towards his/her children.
