hbo, cinmax, and showtime has been around since the 70's, since cable has dead for over 20 years. satellite been overprice for years. both satellite and cable companies will force their subscribers to go hulu and netflex.
hulu produces like " the handmaid tales " and netflex produces " strange things " for example. the premium channels will lose in the long run. when cable and satellite companies charge subscribers over ten dollars every month. netflex and hulu charge under ten dollars, no contest!
premium channels are more concern the cost of show, not the quality of the show. they should go under. the subscribers are interest in quality not how the show cost to made.
Streaming services are cheaper than cable packages because they don’t offer nearly as much content. Subscribers are switching anyways because they don’t want to spend $50 a month on hundreds of channels they don’t watch and be forced to watch certain shows at certain times on the few channels they do watch. Plus the streaming services have many original series that are not available elsewhere.
That being said, streaming services customers are starting to spend more now than they did with cable, as the services are starting to build up...
