Friend Requests

Is it just me who gets annoyed by requests from people wanting to be on your friend list when you have never spoke to them or even seen them?
I'm all for having ppl as friends on here, but isnt the idea of a friends list, that you have people who are classed as "friends"? People you at least talk to sometime?
The idea of adding or accepting someone I've never seen on here let alone spoke to is pointless. its like "hey add me on your friends list but ive never spoke to you and wont even if you accept"!
I get this on other sites too and just cant fathom the reason!

yeah i get it all the time i think some ppl just enjoy having loads of ppl on their friends list, so they can show off at how many ppl they know

but they dont know them? how can u request a "friend" if youve never so much as said hi?

I know what you mean, it's pretty annoying especially when all the 15 yr old lads send friend requests, then ask you out. Yep cos i'm bount to go out with u not

Well i don't even know how to add people as friends on here. Have you ever added people to be your friends?

Yeah i add ppl all the time but not until i've spoke to them and enjoy conversations i have with them.

aw no-ones ever asked me to put them on my friends list, but hopefully in time i'll make some real ones here, once i've found my feet

ive never added ppl either, ive never spoke to anyone out of the threads enough.

the thing one here to, you can see how much you talk to the person because of the friend score... not sure if you can see other peoples tho...

sorry to be such a noob, but do you get points for having lots of friends on your list? Maybe that's why they just ask random people

i think you get a point or something like ythat if people accept you?

oh never mind, i'd rather make friends slowly than have people dislike me, everyone seems really nice, i'm glad to say no one has been horrid to me

People here do seem really friendly, i wish i'd found this forum sooner, it's loads better that other ones i've been on but hey that's another story
