Yeah, but RE is just an excuse to get your science prep done so you don't have to later, or draw some silly doodles lol. No-one listens in it!

Oh, well it's insignificant if they're teaching religion in state schools because no one pays attention. Good to know. I guess Brits would have the same attitude about it if they were teaching kids Islam.

They do teach kids Islam as well, I mentioned that. All major religions need to be taught equally in RE classes.

Yeah, they do actually talk about all the religions, it's not just a preachy Christian lesson. But its seen as a free period really lol.

probably because its not a big deal, no one really pays attention to RE in school its just an outdated class.

i'd rather it was removed from state schools, but im not to bothered.

But then stuff like this happens:

https://forums.military.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/409192893/m/3700061091001

Quote:
Two schoolboys were given detention after refusing to kneel down and 'pray to Allah' during a religious education lesson.

Parents were outraged that the two boys from year seven (11 to 12-year-olds) were punished for not wanting to take part in the practical demonstration of how Allah is worshipped.

I would be happy with RE removed from public schools in Britian, it is a waste of 1 hour every week.

Yeah - as long as they don't fill the gap with another lesson, coz that time for doing prep is really useful!

Well, I were thinking of actually putting in something fun for a change, like drama or dance. Hardly any schools have classes for either of those.

that's just the result of a teacher doing something stupid, and that's assuming it even happened in the why the daily mail said it did, which i somehow doubt.

but yes i would rather RE was removed, but im not holding my breath no government wants to be the one that removes RE from the timetable.

otherwise people like the idiots in that article will be up in arms, b****ing about how we treat Muslims better than Christians, if we did it to Muslims they would go to war, and generally the same retarded drivel you get.

Theres also this info on that incident from Jihadwatch:

https://www.jihadwatch.org/2008/07/uk-schoolboys-disciplined-for-refusing-to-pray-to-allah-in-religious-ed-class.html

Awesome website that one is, but mostly aimed at 'demonising Islam', as Muslims would say .

We do have those - but mine isn't a state school. But I think a lot of state schools DO have drama classes? Not sure. But yeah - if they give us an extra dance class that's different - anything but maths!

My school had no dance / drama or anything like that.

1 hour of dance class every week, kids get to have a weekly ball.

Yes credibly. There is evidence that Jesus existed.

ummm, no there isn't.
(btw, I knew you'd reply to that post )
And the bible/quoran doesn't count.
@Tako_400 Said

Historical data suggests that some of the stories in the Bible actually happened.

The bible is made up of two parts, I do not doubt that many of the stories in the old Testament are the equivalent of historical records and some may've happened. However, I am of firm belief that 99% of the "new" testament is utter lies and fabrication.

Umm, yes there is.

Time to start reading! Start here:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Historicity_of_Jesus

"essentially all scholars in the relevant fields agree that the mere historical existence of Jesus can be established using documentary and other evidence."
