Banning dangerous food products like trans fat, that causes disease, is protecting the
citizens rights

From the dictionary:

Government-
1.the political direction and control exercised over the actions of the
members, citizens, or inhabitants of communities, societies, and states;
direction of the affairs of a state, community, etc.; political administration:
Government is necessary to the existence of civilized society.

Economists identify six major functions of governments in market economies.
Governments provide the legal and social framework, maintain competition,
provide public goods and services, redistribute income, correct for
externalities, and stabilize the economy.

Good, you got a quote from the dictionary. Good thing the constitution disagrees with you.

The constitution gives the government the right to tax and control business.
Not only that, they control the money supply through monetary policy; setting
interests rates, controlling banks and etc.

The 16th Amendment of the Constitution is one of the clauses that gives government the
right to tax.

In 1913, the Sixteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution was ratified. It empowered
Congress to tax "incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among
the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration."

Years, and been seven Years a Citizen of the United States, and who shall not, when
elected, be an Inhabitant of that State in which he shall be chosen.

The government does have the right to tax (which I think is wrong, but anyway...), but not control a private business.

So, let's say you own a bar. Can you serve alcohol to minors? No, because the
government controls business practices in regards to regulated substances.

A good example of how the federal, state and local governments control certain subtances
and products that are known to be dangerous, through the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco
and Firearms.

They also didn't make it illegal, now did they (well they did, but you know what happened there)?

They did make it illegal with Volstead's National Prohibition Act in 1919, but in 1933
prohibition was repealed by the adoption of the 21st Amendment. Alcoholic beverages are
still illegal in some counties. The feds left it up to the individual states to decide.

A dry county is a county in the United States whose government forbids the sale of
alcoholic beverages. There are hundreds of dry counties across the United States, although
they are most common in the South and Mid-West. Although the 21st Amendment
repealed the prohibition of alcohol, many local governments never re-legalized the sale of
alcohol, maintaining a "dry" (which basically means alcohol free) environment. There are
also smaller jurisdictions which prohibit the sale of alcoholic beverages, such as dry
towns.

Indiana you can't buy it on Sunday....I never understood that. Some religious thing I think.

It seems that you think the trans fat thing is a joke, too. The ban of alcoholic beverage
sales on sunday may be a religious thing, but the point is that people can say how things
are run, in their own towns.

Yes, I do think it's a joke. Dumb a** people that can't make a choice on their own so they need the government to control the actions of everyone so they don't have to think. It's a big f***ing joke.

They should be able to say all they want. When they think they can control someone else is where it should end.
