This is a true, short, dark poem. Nothing more needed to be said.

She lies on the bed with thoughts all askew,
Something is wrong it can't be what she knew.

The sheets of the bed are turning bright red,
Not done by her hand, she's out of her head.

Unable to move she hits her last wall,
While droplets of blood splatter over the wall.

What has she done to deserve this demise?
She loved a madman's charisma; his shallow disguise.

This happened to someone I knew who was picked up for a one night stand. I had to get the emotions out on page.

Thanks for putting this in print
For reading gives more than a hint
Of what happened in the awful tint
When all could have been a real mint.

A horridly dark and tragic portrait.
A sad truth that it happens at all.
