I think its disgusting, mostly for the reasons and culture.I honestly hate most cultures...

well, that's not fair. most cultures have nothing to do with this...

Much of it is done with dull and rusted implements leaving the girl in sever pain. It makes intercourse excruciating and leave her very susceptible to infection.

If its still done in this way I think it's barbaric and a crime against women everywhere.

i watched a documentary on this subject once and it is the childs mother who has the say whether they have it done or notone was a girl of no older than ten screaming before anyone got near her,she had many adult women holding her down,one being her mother,i know its there culture but i couldnt work out why a mum would want her child to go through so much pain and later in life intercorse with there husbands would surely rip the scare tissuesome of the slightly older girls made p a grop and went to there version of a court and was granted that this act not be performed on them,hopefully this is the sign of things to come x

It's mostly done by doctors nowadays, although some women still use midwives...

the doc i watched was end of last yr and it was still being prepared for in the childs home on a dusty floor and some water so it is still being done the same way,
and for the man who dislikes cultures for what they do,hes a test for you my friend im 1/4 black,1/4 jewish and the other half english,tell us what you dislike about there cultures then and oh by the way you said you hated some cultures and when questioned about it changed it to dont like what they do x

I don't see why not liking other cultures for what they believe in means you shouldn't voice your opinion. I think that's a little rude.

infact while i was watching the documentary my husband had to walk out of the room cos the little girl had just wittnessed by her slightly older siser having it done,but this also get caried out in england the only difference is its cleaner,i just hope more young girls speak up about h aving it done so it gets wiped out,although there will still be back street people to do i,can you imagine them having a period its bad enough for most women so to have that on top mus be unbearable,and this doc i was watching the girls were being married at a rediculous age and so soon after having the proceedure x
