What is your favourite pub? It doesn't have to be your local or the one you go to most often, but possibly the one you have fondest memories of or just happen to like more than others.

For me it would be The Moorings in Aberdeen. It was a pirate pub at the docks and has a great atmosphere and feel to it.

Over to you.

The Gate, Sawbridgeworth - Great beer, great locals, great atmosphere! It has it's own Brewery, beer festivals every bank holiday and arranges some great beanos. Oh, and it also has the worlds largest collection of beer mats as you can see in the second photo.

I've drank in there a few times, love how most of the rooms are actually bored out of the cliff.

The pit stop on the south edge of my town. It had a juke box, two pool tables and real bullet holes in a couple walls. Sometimes they had cute bar maids. True story.

The Navigator on the Peace River! Even though I don't drink, it's the BEST biker bar in 3 states!

My favourite pub is The Mother's Ruin in St Nicholas' Market. Their prices are reasonable and they always have some local cider in, as well as shooters that go by names such as 'ropey old hookers' and 'white bastards' (which are excellent ).

There's also a pub quiz every week with free curry and they put on a lot of gigs that are free entry. It's chilled and plays alternative music so you don't have to put up with any chavs either, which is nice. I always go there when I'm home, was on first name terms with the barman over the summer

The Way Out club in London is the best.

I'm sure some of the conservative right wing Christian types on here would LOVE it!

The Hinds Head

It's a lovely little pub, it has quite a nice mixture of people as well, so it isn't full of chavs or old drunks. They also do weekly quiz nights and really good food!

There used to be a club and cinema on the spot, but it was pulled down and local residents were asked what they wanted instead. They said a nice local

It is also in close proximity to my Grandparents house (where I live part time), which is always a bonus

Costellos Tavern in Limerick, it's a wreck of a place but there's always great music and a brilliant crowd. It's also damn near impossible to be refused entry if your a bit messy, act the bollix and Frank(the owner/ Legend) and his sons will remove you with very little fuss. They've no problem with a bit of boisterousness so long as everyone is safe and happy. In short, it's a great place for a night out.

Oh! And The Tredrea Inn. It's no longer there, but I literally grew up in that pub. No, really, my grandparents owned it and I spent a lot of my childhood there.

When I was little, there was a separate games room, an aviary and a mini zoo - with sheep, goats, pigs, chickens. And I got to name all the animals!
