I'm sorry if I used the wrong term, but I can't fully remember the terms in Soccer. My favorite club is Manchester United. One good thing that I found out is they will be going against the LA Galaxy on July 24th.

So who is your favorite club? If there is a correct term for this ( I don't think it's team) please correct me and inform me.

Club sounds good dude!

I am an Aston Villa fan.

Seems we are safe this session, although f*** knows how. Mind you when it comes to scoring goals, the old adage is true "Even blind mice occasionally find cheese".

Mind you, Utd haven't had a pearler of a season either ay?

(OOC)
I have never liked the word 'soccer'.
In England, it has always been known as football. We call football in US, American football.

(I wonder how the word soccer came to be in US, and why it was never just called English football?)

I route for Newcastle United, by the way.

I could never work out the rules either. But I do like how the comedian George Carlin differentiated between football and baseball. (I'll have to find it and post it.)

Found it and posted it.
I don't normally listen to American comedians, but I think George Carlin is/was the best.

Interestingly the word 'soccer' originated in england...The word soccer is an abbreviation of association (from assoc.) and first appeared in universities in the 1880s. An early usage can be found in an English 1892 periodical
