Peace be on you. On December 4, 2012, the president of the European parliament in Brussels and others members welcomed the Holy Khalifah for a keynote speech to 350 audeience who came from 30 countries. The Holy Khalifah of Promised Messiah Mahdi delivered a speech about EU unity, global unity, immigration matters, justice and peace. He spoke at length about real Islam’s key teachings in relation to peaceful developing of world.

European Union unity.
He said: The formation of the European Union has been a great achievement on the part of the European countries, for it has been a means of uniting this continent. And so you should make all possible efforts to preserve this unity…..Remember that the strength of Europe lies in it remaing united and together as one. Such unity will not only benefit you here in Europe, but at a global level it will be the means for this continent to maintain its strength and influence.

Global Unity.
He talked about unity at large: Speaking from Islamic perpective, we should strive for the entire world to unite. In terms of currency the world should be united. In terms of business and trade the world should be inited. And in terms of freedom of movement and immigration, cohesive and practical policies should be developed, so that the world can become united………….He said that in modern world countries could no longer afford to remain isolated. Even global powers like USA were dependent on international trade and foreign relations.

Justice and Peace.
He said that developed countries ought not to exploit weaker nations . They should help them in development.

All forms of cruelty, wherever they exist, must be eradicated. At places, dangerous anger is ready to boil over to explode. Such situations must be avoided. Veto power within international institutions does not help prevention of cruelty.

He said: Always rememeber that peace can only be established by helping both the oppressed and the oppressor in a manner that is completely impartial, free from vested interests and devoid of all enmity. Peace is made by giving all parties an equal platform and playing field.

The issue of increased immigration to Western countries.
On this issue, he said that many immigrants provoked locals by refusing to integrate while certain elements in local socities were intolerant to outsiders. He called on all parties to work together for this matter of far reaching consequence. In this regard, he advised: Goverments need to make policies that establish and protect mutual respect, through which hurting the sentiments of others or causing them any type of harm should be outlawed.

Prior to Keynote address.
Before the Keynote speech, a number of members of EU parliament (MEP) admired the peaceful efforts of Community of Holy Khalifah.

=Dr. Chrles Tannock MEP said that Community was a welcome example of tolerance in the world. He condemned the persecution of the Community and said their motto ‘Love for all hatred for none’ is antidote to extremist Jihadists.

= Tunne Kelam MEP said that he was attending the event as it was an aspiration for peace. He said Community rejects all violence and terrorism. He pledge his support globally.
= Baroness Sarah Ludford MEP spoke of her long term link with the Community in UK. She said the Community’s motto is desperately needed in modern world.
= Claude Moraes MEP, noted that event had attracted a bigger turnout than we get to any meetings at the European Parliament.

= Jean Lambert MEP, said she would pursue for rights of the Community.

The historic event concluded with silent prayer led by the Holy Khalifah.
