So what is everyone's opinion on equal rights?

I mean, we all have equal rights to vote, to and education etc, but how does everyone feel about this?

However there are still gender exclusive thoughts and feelings in society today, I would like to see you all explore these

I can't figure out what the question is. You want to know how we feel about everyone having equal rights regardless of gender?

As a female, I think equal rights would be an excellent idea.

I think rights are pretty much equal these days. At least where I live.

I don't see much evidence of unequal rights anywhere. Not in Britain or anywhere in western culture anyway.

People of different genders should not have different rights.

Our rights do not come to us as a result of membership in a gender, ethnic, or religious group. We get our rights as the result of being human beings.

I'm fairly certain no one will show up here saying that the different genders should not have equal rights.

I've already seen a good level of sexism on the site so we may well see some good debate yet

Don't we gain views on topics by our experience with it? not the only way, but a good part of it.

The retirement age in the UK is different for men and women.
I think it should be the same age no matter the gender.

Really? here the age is the same regardless of the person's sex. And even maternity leave is now extended to fathers.

I'm pretty sexist, honestly. I'm a weird person who thinks in a family situation (a mom, a dad, a kid or two) the woman belongs at home, raising the family and caring for the home, and the man belongs at work.
That's just me, though.
