there has always been the "the end is coming" vs. "the good old days"

if you are a christian...which you topic suggests...you must have forgotten the part where jesus says that even he (the son of god) does not know when the end is coming.

or the part where he says that the end will come in "before the end of this generation", which was a long long time ago.
