Lately there have been reports of some people actually yelling "kill him!" (referring to Barrack Obama) at McCain rally's.

My question is -- is it legal for a person -- in any manner -- to encourage the killing of a US Government official?

I would say no but I don't think the rally would be an example of it.

I used to have a bunch of law books. I wish I still did.

I'd bet if you got into the nitty-gritty of the law -- this behavior would be illegal.

I think legally that could be considered a threat, and as far as I know threats against "anyone" are illegal...
