Employer surveillance of internet activities

You do realise that at work your employer is paying you to do the work he they hired you to do? they aren't there to pay you to do what you want?

no i mean when it goes too far
in school i cant get on well nearly anything even some educational sites are banned

Well if that is the case, you should inform the administrator of the network, and ask them to allow these sites, thats if they are really educational

100% sure mine do.

employee shouldnt go on the net for pleasure on companies time but survallence is a bit over rated - just limit the computers abilities on internet and chat programs.

What about if you work Search and Rescue and stand a 12 hour watch with no TV and are required to stay awake and alert?

well going on the internet isnt going to make you alert now or watching tv thats taking your mind of the job

So how would you stay alert for 12 hours a night (530pm-530am) all weekend long? (that's 36 hours in 72)

well obviously you would have someone working with you - so a

person of the oppossote sex - and ill be happy!

when i worked i didnt know how to use a computer so they wouldnt have found anything on mine anyway,
