If Joe picked Hillary, then they run the risk that Trump will actually get the most votes in the election.

Not +50% of the votes, and certainly not 50% of the eligible voters, just maybe more than J&H.

Of course I was joking. But it’s probably gonna pick somebody like Klobuchar, Gabbard or Steyer... maybe Warren... though I think Gabbard and Warren are unlikely.

I can’t see Bloomberg even being considered.

Buttigieg.... I don’t see him being considered either.

Yes, after I posted that, I did run across something that basically said even in a national emergency the president cannot suspend elections.
A National Emergency does not override the constitution.

Things may be modified WITH THE HELP OF CONGRESS - but you know damn well the House is not going to give him anything.

That article in BuzzFeed says Congress would have to start rewriting stuff all the way to rewriting the Constitution to cancel the election and if postponment was the deal it could only be a few months.
I have heard speculation
On this topic , I'm glad to learn it's not an option for Trump.
