More political principles and integrity than party. The Democrats and Republicans (until very recently) are just differing degrees of socialism. A large percentage of whites voted for Obama in '08 just to prove they weren't racist. And there'd be a lot more black Republicans if the Uncle Tom label wasn't so effective. As the article says, she had praised Beyoncé for her portrayal of herself (Etta) in Cadillac Records (great film btw)--the difference, singing "her" song for Obama.

What's your point? It was one of those "similar topics" that are coming up now at the bottom of a forum. If anything, it's more relevant now since she just died this year. If Beyonce will sing it for Romney's inauguration, I'm sure all would be well on earth as it is in heaven.
