Too much disaster to handle, after trying to get over Hurricane Rita and Katrina, Now theres Hurricane Stan, and Eathquakes and After shocks in the Far East, you've got to be thankful that you live in Europe.

God bless those trapped, and starving across the world x x

Thankful that we live in Europe ?
We've had most cities flattened in Central Europe and about fifty million death by the two World Wars !

but that was human led!!! we can sort of stop war...nature is far harder to stop mansio!
thats why us in europe shud be grateful!
we rarely have deal with any natural diasters!

i think the lack of attention to this earthquake is VERY worrying!

have we reached the point where another diaster can barely flicker an emotion in us? have we become stone to death and destruction??

Our media is giving this disaster a good deal of air time. I think what is hgappening is there is only so much resources to go around. Most people would like to help those effected, but again how? We have only sent 8 helocopters, they need more, but I don't think we have it.

Nature is never predictable. Things like this happen. They are just more devastating as there are some many people living in aras that are violitale.

Yeah i suppose i cant offer much in my sheltered little corner of the world.... ahhhhhhhhh! We dont get terrorist attacks or big natural disasters even though our largest city here in NZ is built on top of over a hundred volcanoes

i know it's a cliche but it really makes me realise how lucky i am to live in a country thats reasonably safe. I don't think i can really comprehend the amount of suffering that people are going through, to some degree i've just been desensitised to it. it's just another news story, doesn't seem real, which is pretty sad.
