Downing Street Spin Doctor telling off BBC Reporter...

The Director of Communications for Downing Street, Craig Oliver, has been caught on camera arguing with the BBC reporter, Norman Smith, over his reporting on the Leveson Enquiry.

Craig Oliver told Norman Smith, the BBC's chief political correspondent, he was "genuinely shocked" by the bias in his coverage, adding he thought the culture secretary, Jeremy Hunt, would be "rightly deeply upset".

Oliver said: "I have rarely seen such partial reporting of the debate."




It was really a silly thing to do to have this conversation in front of cameras, even if you thought they were off. In fact, I would imagine you should be careful to have these conversations away from any recording equipment.

Though, after watching The Thick of It, it all seems rather tame...
