Do you leave your doors unlocked everyday, all day? During the day the front door is locked because we had people just randomly walk in the day time trying to sell stuff or whatever, but the side door is always unlocked during the day time. At night all the doors are locked, I have to make sure because people seem to forget, many times I have found the door wide open and it spooks me out. Where I live is the suburbs and people usually do leave their doors unlocked even when they're not home or are sleeping but to me that's getting a little too cocky, things happen anywhere and everywhere. Why allow someone to easily break into your house? if I could everything would be pad locked.. lol.. I am the biggest chicken.

My parents live in a pretty dodgy area and we would never leave or doors unlocked or windows open at or if we are out. During the day our front door is usually shut nad locked. If it is really hot we will open our ranch slider out to the deck.

Growing up in the neighborhood that I did has made me super conscious of locking doors. So even though I am now living in an ok neighborhood the front door is always locked. My flatmate grew up in South Africa so shes is even more paranoid than me.

Our building is usually pretty safe, nothing happens that much but we usually keep our doors locked most of the day anyway.

If one or more person is home sometimes we keep it unlocked if another person is going out or coming home, but generally it's kept locked. You never know what could happen. There are a lot of nuts out there.

Well since I live in an apartment I only have two doors to keep locked. The deck door and the front door so when they're not open they are locked.

Doors and sometimes windows should be locked all the time,it's about our own safety and I don't want everyone to see me naked. Most of the times I'm naked when I'm at home lol ...

Locked. At all times.
Even when I'm just going down the hall to the trash room.

We used to be able to break into our house quite easily. It was great those drunken nights when you can't find your keys. All you had to do was stick your hand in the cat door and you were in!

Then one day on her way to work my mum realised she forgot her glasses and went back to get them. She walked upstairs and their was our dodgey neighbour standing in our living room. He told her that he had chased away a burglar which is s***.

We had to put up these security screen things on our doors so that you couldn't break in through the cat door anymore.

If someone is downstairs, the side door is usually unlocked. I try to keep the front door locked at all times only because sometimes I go up to my room with music blaring and forget to lock it. At night everything is all locked up. It's a pretty safe neighborhood but it doesn't hurt to keep them locked

The dogs are a good alarm usually

the front door is unlocked during the day at my dad's house and the back door is locked. At my mam's the front door won't open from the outside anyway because it's an old Georgian design. The back door's just f***ed and it won't stay closed if you don't lock it, so we leave it open in the summer or just leave it locked.

All my doors are always locked with a couple of locks on each. I'm not parinoid I just live in a not very nice area. And the security door down stairs is always shut by everyone, because no one trusts anyone elxse round here.
