Businesses make money in all sorts of ways - investment returns, overseas sales, product sales, etc.

If the government stopped taxing businesses, individual taxes would go up more than the amount product prices would decrease.

You really want businesses not to have to pay taxes on money they get by selling to, say, China? You want to personally pay that tax revenue instead?

For most businesses, the taxes amount to a small % of the product price.
