I have no choice than to listin to it in my house, my mum always has it playing! I quite like the ones that have happy endings like "the marrige of frigaro" but i don't like ones where people die, cos it makes me sad!

This may have already been said. I've yet to read the thread . . . BUT Phantom of the Opera is NOT an opera by any stretch of the imagination. It's a musical.

I had tickets to go see some years back. But my trip fell through. My father loves as well, so I thought I'd give them to my parents for them to go see. They claimed they were going to. And then they didn't. Tickets wasted. Those f***ers were expensive, too!

Would Madame Buttlerfly be classed as Opera? i like that, and yeha Phantom of the Opera is good but i'd say that was more a musical?

Oh, for further information, Weber's musical Phantom of the Opera was based upon a French novel by the same name.

And, yes, Cole, Madama Butterfly is an opera.
