Do your church have a dresscode? I have been to so many churches where ladies come dressed like they are going to a club or strip club to dance. And let's not leave the guys out they come like they are about to do a rap video. Do your church have a dresscode?

Is there a problem with showing up to church that way?

Have you already judged these people?

As long as people are clean and tidy and reasonably modestly dressed, I don't think it matters what they wear.

Unless it makes other people very uncomfortable. Then again, whose failure is that? The public, for being too critical of other people's dress sense, or the person, for not being modest or considerate enough of the public's sensitivity? I am inclined to say that how people dress is merely a matter of practicality and personal preference, since what is acceptable or unacceptable to wear has changed massively over the centuries.

johnnythan i ask you not to answer any of my questions if you have to be such an outsider in your angry world. This is a question about if your church as a dresscode for the ones that do go to church.

Hate to break it to you hun, but this is a free forum and anyone can answer any thread they want. You may not like what you hear, but when you make a thread, anyone can post.

Not really. Every summer though, they do pass around in the bulleten what not to wear. People do come in with daisy dukes (bum showing), halter/bra shirts, and stuff like that. They just ask that you be presentable and show some respect for God, others around and yourself.

Well our priest does dress like that on his days off but seriously I've never heard of anyone commenting on what to wear in any Catholic church I've attended.

They won't kick you out or anything, but our Monsignior does make a comment about this at the start of every summer.

During the summer we live at the beach and the priest there is a sound guy. He is also the chaplin to the nearby prison and never would say a word on how the congregation are dressed.
