According to the bible, yes...ish. The Jews were not allowed to kill people under the Roman occupation, so, they had the Romans do the killing, hence him being crucified rather than stoned. So, the Romans killed him, but only to appease the Jews...

I believe the Jews were also given an option as to who they would let go. Barbaras and Jesus were both going to be crucified and then the jews were told that one could be let go and to choose which one. They choose Barbaras to free. Hence Dooming Jesus to Suffocation on the cross.

I hope you realise you are merely parroting what the Romans said as a slander!

Techinically your right. If it was all written in stone then everyone was just a pawn. From the jews, to Pilate, to Judas and all of them were innocent becuase they basically had to do what they did in order for prophocey to come to frutition.

Actually, that is not necessarily true. the fact that a God could theoretically know what would happen in a given circumstance, does not mean that he in any way caused it to happen. It is a bit like watching a movie you have already seen. You, as the viewer, know what will happen, but you have not had any effect on the events, you just know what those events will be and how they will unfold...

Yet the bible says He GAVE his own begotten son.. Implying not that his son's life was taken but rather freely given.

It was also freely given by Jesus though. He came down fully knowing what he would suffer.

True, but that does not change my premise, that a God knowing what will happen, is not the same as him making it happen. You could argue that he allowed it to happen for a greater purpose though (ie., from the Christian perspective, Jesus being the sacrifice that allowed everyone to be able to be 'right' morally with God)... But he still did not make it happen, he just knew that it would, and wanted it that way

Did they?

Every person who has ever committed a sin is responsible for the crucifixion. But don't be sad, he rose from the dead and ascended into heaven.

Isaiah 53:5
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Blessed be the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
