Did Anyone See "The Secret Lives Of Women" Re the Occult?

I watched that episode on Lifetime & came away wondering more about true Satanist's. The woman on the documentary episode said she is a Satanist, but does NOT believe in The Devil & although she does do spells in which she calls upon Him & His power to help her, she is her own God. So this just leaves me confused.... If the Devil needed her wouldn't he be calling on her rather than the other way around. I mean, I would just really like to hear what others have to say about their faith.

Please, I am not being sarcastic! I really do want to know what being a Satanist means to those who are.

Sounds like the lady in question was a LaVeyan Satanist. Check out the Church of Satan website https://www.churchofsatan.com/, to learn a little bit of what they're about.

I dont think we have any LaVeyan's on TFS, although they would be most welcome.

I really wish one of you would have seen this episode! I don't think this woman represents what most, some, or really even few would consider to be religion or faith. I guess I am just wondering what the average everyday member of The Church Of Satan is like.

Satanism is part of Christian theology,the part that is used to frighten believers. It is as illusory and imaginary as the rest of the faith! A person who thinks there is power in it, is as delusional as those who think that prayer accomplishes anything!

OK, here's a rough outline of a plan for you.
1. join a forum specifically for Satanists.
2. They will tell you to read the Satanic Bible, so have a copy ready, they are easy to get(I also recommend "Might is Right", by Ragnar Redbeard, since LaVey plagairized much of it word for word)
3. Read it, so you don't ask noob questions, and get to know some Satanists. See if you like it.

Very important: Satanists are big on mutual respect, and intelligence. So make sure your posts are up to snuff.

I got your meaning the first time. As for your outline & plan it's stupid. I am wanting to know a little info about something without having to completely emurse myself in it. Go schedule someone else's day, dork. So far, I have gotten a lot of the answers I was looking for.
