The Albuquerque Police Dept after a number of incidences of officers using undo deadly force was investigated by the DOJ. As part of the agreement a
Consent Decree was utilized as oversight. The Dept Chief was required to report on his judgement of any deadly force incident to the oversight committee set up by the DOJ. Here is another link to documents related to the settlement on the
CIty of Albuquerque website.
Another example is the City of Newark NJ. This is the agreement reached between them and the Federal Government in
District Court

DOJ did not make s*** better if you are brown
we had armed white supremacist in the f***ing streets this week harassing protesters and business owners and the cops did nothing.
its clear what side APD is on.
the system is broken, we had multiple police snipers ready to shoot citizens peacefully protesting. I know because they had to access our building to get one the roof to get in position. We have not had incidents of mass rioting and looting. If we were not already closed to the public because of pandemic we would have gone on lockdown. We did have staff in the buildings, because we are trying to keep some services running, we all have been working daily in shifts, even holidays to keep up because on the limit of people in buildings.
it doesn't f***ing matter.
but the f***ing proud boys can do what ever they damn well please.
