Darfur Region in Sudan

Was just wondering if people realise how bad the situation is over there - thousands dead and millions displaced yet it gets very little media attention for one of the biggest humanitarian disasters in the last decade - what do people think ?

Does it have oil there??

Ha good point - no not really - its got a lot of people and some mighty fine sand and camels, but no oil, and therefore very little interest internationally

Yup - its a pity alright.... when the day comes when someone finds a way to turn sand into fuel darfur might get a chance....its still a pity though

I don't care. It sucks and it is tragic, but it doesn't affect me in anyway.

Yet Tony Blair said that they are starting a big expensive campaign because "dangerous driving is a major cause of loss of life inthe third world" Bollock.
