Damn, my wife was admitted into the hospital

this morning at 2am. She was having abdominal pain associated with her diverticulitis she has. We found out that her white blood cell count was at 16000. DAMN, that is more than twice of what it should be. Anyway she has an infection in her large intestine and will be hospitalized until further notice. They gave her some pharmaceutical pain medication that has all but made her unconscious.

I hope that she heals fast, and is ok.
I hope you are dealing as best as can be expected aswell.
It is hard seeing loved ones in pain. She is in good hands I am sure.

Jesus, how do you get an infection of your large intestine? Bizarre. An obstruction maybe? Don't know.......

Thoughts are with you both and hope that your dear wife is soon feeling much better. I know well, what that pain is like, it's desperate and so weakening also. However, I am glad she is in the hospital now as it's the best and safest place while she's so unwell. Look after yourself also, as she will need your support too.

She has "diverticulitis" which in essence are little pockets or pouches where food gets stuck and starts the inflammation resulting in possible infection.
