I've heard that when cracking your knuckles will lead you to get arthritis in your hands, or any other place that you crack your bones.
but then i heard alot of other reasonings that say cracking your bones releases air out of the joints letting them be more relaxed, and that doesnt cause arthritis..

does anyone actually know if cracking your bones is good or bad for you?

old question... it's been tested countless times, and it has no effect on whether you will get arthritis. Just made up because the actual sound can be obnoxious

It's an old wives' tale.

At best, there is no absolutely no evidence whatsoever to suggest that's the case.

That's not to say there is evidence that it is harmless. Fact is we really just don't know. I'd say it's extremely unlikely to lead to arthritis, because most cases of arthritis are autoimmune diseases, not degenerative diseases.

A few years ago some kind of doctor, a chiropractor or something came to our school for a presentation and he said that cracking your knuckles doesn't cause it, but is actually good for stopping it or something like that.

when you crack your knuckles, it releases nitrogen, which is the sound you hear...don't know if that's good or bad though

Google it

I found a small handful of very small studies, the largest of which involved 300 people.

300 people is not enough evidence for *anything*, especially when you're trying to *disprove* something.
