ATLANTA (AP) — A federal appeals court has struck down the requirement in President Obama's health care overhaul package that virtually all Americans must carry health insurance or face penalties.

Experts say the debate ultimately will be decided by the U.S. Supreme Court.

26 out of the 50 states have sued to block this law of Obama's.
How many states will it take for him to see that there are a whole lot of Americans that really do not want his health care laws ?

In my opinion, its a bad piece of leglislation because it really doesn't do much. The only thing it primarily accomplished is that it forced everyone to pay the private health insurance companies, with the hope that it will bring down premiums a bit. A public option would have been nice, as that would have been a more direct attempt at bringing it down, but the private insurers of course didn't want that. Instead we get this half-assed compromise that continues to feed these hated insurance companies. So, of course, most people will hate it. Most people do want reform though, and I would even be willing to bet they would have been supportive of it if it had such a public option or even universal care in it. Europeans don't seem to mind it, and would probably even balk at its removal.

One thing people DO like on this health care bill, though, is the outlawing of denial of service for pre-existing conditions, but that could have been accomplished with an exclusive bill.

IMO, Just one more issue that proves our politicians are in office for the good of themselves and their favorite
(the highest bidders) lobbyist's.

Oh it's definitely another product of our out-of-touch & dysfunctional leadership.

Actually that is backasswards. The water down version passed is a tip of the hat to the lobbyist of the medical & pharmaceutical companies- but that was more payment from the pubs & conservs than from the libs. What was good for the citizens was the bill not passed in original form.

having an organized healthcare policy can prevent over-spending on medical costs
